Find-click-click! Your potential customers must find your webpage, and your listing, once they find it, must compel them to click through to your web page.
Set a right structure! Your website’s structure will determine the success or failure of the project. A poorly structured site leads directly to poor user experience. Poor user experience impacts how people will perceive your website.
Traffic-building, no matter how you cut it, will cost you... in terms of both time and money. Spending dollars is optional, but spending TIME is not.
Build keyword focused content pages! Use only one priority keyword per page often and everywhere! That means in the title, in the headings, in the links, in the main body copy and in the the ALT tags if you can. Use keyword combinations wherever it makes sense ... For example, you can refer to ... "search engine ranking", "search engine position", "search engine scores", and on and on. The search engines will look in all of these places to score your web sales page.

Keep trying until you score higher and higher! You won't hit a search engine's first page on the first try, so keep trying until you make it! Write a page, submit it, and then check it out after a few days. Improve your ranking by experimenting. When you've improved the page, submit it again. Keep doing this until you DO make Page #1. But keep in mind ... once you've made Page #1, don't try to rank higher. You might fall OFF!
Note: Don't try to score equally well on all search engines. And always, always keep a copy of your original page in case your new experiment fails. Then you can always go back one step and re-submit the older page.
Don’t get tired, keep on with your efforts. Don’t give up because of competition. Work hard until you get the results you always expected.
Plan it out first! Generate a list of keywords before you write a single word of your web sales page. Write your sales pages making maximum use of the keyword and combinations. Use a different keyword for your business pages and write different pages for each keyword. But be sure your web pages make sense and lead to your goals! Serve your customers AND the search engines! Integrate content-rich keyword- laden pages through your business website ... to serve both your customers and the search engines. Limit navigational options from your content/keyword pages. For a top search engine position, you have to please the search engines. But to make web sales, you have to please your customers. Balancing the needs of audiences with different interests and levels of sophistication is a challenge.
Build content-rich web sales pages to rank high on search engines AND make web sales. Research and find keywords that both attract orders and please the search engines.

Remember to insert META tags in the top of of your page. Some search engines uses this information when indexing your page (but not all).
Most search engine will look inside META tags in your web page. Here is the example of how to use <META> tags:

These META tags should be put in <HEAD> </HEAD>. In "description", put the brief description of your page. In "keywords", list the keywords that you think your visitors will find your site by typing those keywords. You can separate each keywords or description by using comma (,) as shown above.
<Title> Name your title carefully. Try thinking about what keywords your visitors will type to find your page. The title tag is very important to the search engine's relevance rankings. They also display it exactly as you have typed it as a link to your page. So use your keyword at least once in your title. Type the title in upper and lower case - it's easier to read and ALL CAPS looks amateurish. Put your keyword at the beginning of your title too, since the first words score highest. But remember that it also has to lure your customer to click into your web page. Surfers will only click when there is an obvious reason to do so. So please your search engine, but work hard to attract your customers too! By using descriptive titles on your web pages, you increase the possibility of that your page will show up first when people search for this keyword.
<META Keywords> Use keywords sparingly Listing dozens of keywords won't help you with the search engines, and it can hurt. The search engine won't know what's really important. You can type the same keyword again in caps or in plural form ... so that the search engine catches these variations when surfers use them. Don't repeat the same keywords more than 5 times. Make sure that there are keywords in 3 places: META tags, page title, and contents of your page.
<META Description> Use your keyword as many times as possible here Blend it in with more general keywords to score well for those combinations. Don't repeat the title in your description. The reader will see it twice, and you'll have wasted value persuasion-space. The description should be under 200 characters. More than 150 characters may get cut off by the search engines ... so put the most important information up front. Copy and paste the exact same copy into your first headline. Other search engines use the headline in their listing. If you use the EXACT same copy in both the META Description and first headline ... you can be pretty sure all search engines will use the same sales copy you've worked out so carefully!
<body> Some search engines such as Excite will not read META tag but it will look at the content of your site. Use your keyword as often as possible in every paragraph of your main text. Use the keyword at least once in your closing paragraph too. But remember not to overdo it! Remember at the same time, you must observe the rules of good advertising copy. If you use image map, please make sure that you also have words as an alternative.
<ALT tag> For all the visible images on your page, you should include the ALT-tag. Especially for pages with many images.

However, it is not recommendable to only use this elementary knowledge, since you would go behind those who are constantly updating themselves with new tips to fill their websites with “glamour”.
So, look for these new tips, mainly the really useful ones at the lowest prices… preferably those you can get for free, they are hard to find, but they are there for you :)
Although knowing these main principles will definitively change the way your website works or will enable you build up an irresistible one, it is absolutely necessary to read the three e- books that in my opinion are the great classics.

Save your money as much as you can and just spend it in products or services out of which you are sure to get profit. So far, I only recommend the three e- books I mentioned before, but if I were compelled to chose only one, I would definitely pick up Ken Evoys’s Make My Site Sell! 2002. It is still today the most advanced method to place your website in the best ranking. It’s really a brilliant book.
As for me, I will keep on studying. There is still much to read, learn and overcome. I will post in this website any useful and interesting “discovery” for you. So, don’t think twice and come back!
